Student Support News

The Student Support team are excited to have a couple of new team members on board for Term 1. Mrs Kiralee Cauchi joins us as Learning Support Teacher. With Mrs Kiralee’s experience and expertise in English, she will be providing students with targeted literacy support. We also welcome Ms. Jaclyn Georgiou, a Speech Pathologist from Dee Wardrop Speech Pathology, who will be delivering therapy for selected students every Tuesday this term. We look forward to working with both Mrs Kiralee and Ms. Jaclyn.

Student Wellbeing

Our counsellors, Ms. Eda and Ms. Gon, have great plans underway for increasing Social Emotional Learning (SEL) opportunities for students. Look out for programs and workshops that will be organised throughout the semester.

Learning Support

The Mentor Program has also begun, with the mentors providing extra in-class assistance for students. Such assistance can include clarifying task instructions, prompting students and ensuring that they are on the right track. If your child has a mentor in any of their classes, encourage them to say hi and to ask the mentor for help when needed.

The Student Support team are here to provide assistance to all students of Sirius College, and we welcome all enquiries. If you’d like to find out more about the support we offer, please call us on ext. 143 or make an appointment to visit us for a chat.

Best wishes,
